Relaxation at the Wellnesshotel Klosterbräu in Seefeld

Press trip

We spent the last weekend in the traditional 5-Star Wellnesshotel Klosterbräu in Seefeld in Tyrol. If you ask me, it’s the perfect address for a relaxing weekend for two, but more about that in a moment.

The Hotel Klosterbräu

Behind the Hotel Klosterbräu lies a truly unique history of origins, as guests have been welcomed here since 1516. The wellness hotel has 90 rooms on 5 floors and offers the traditional house is managed in the 6th generation by the Seyrling family, who took possession of the Klosterbräu in 1809. The beginning, however, was made by Emperor Maximilian, who founded the monastery of “Sevelt” in 1516. During the 16th century, the Augustinian monks served pilgrims and nobles and brewed beer.

Our Room: The Lifestyle Wellness Suite

We stayed in the stylish Lifestyle Wellness Suite of the Hotel Klosterbräu & Spa, which was reopened in spring 2020 and offers a 70m² living space with wooden vaults, fireplace and a large walk-in wardrobe. The historical, 500 year old stone wall is perfectly shown to advantage. The modern bathroom with shower is complemented by a freestanding bathtub and a sauna with reading lounge.

Tradition and modern have been perfectly staged in this suite. One feels at home immediately. For the beer lovers among you, there is also a special treat, as there is a separate beer fountain in the room.

The room is perfect to enjoy a weekend for two and relax by the fireplace or in the sauna.

Wellness areas & Spa

Hotel Klosterbräu Lifestyle Suite

On a total of 3500 m² you can relax in the spa of Hotel Klosterbräu. 5 water areas including a year-round heated 31° outdoor pool and new outdoor panoramic whirlpool. Whether a few lengths of swimming or relaxing for two, everything is possible. There are also comfortable lounging facilities. I especially liked the outdoor whirlpool on the roof with a wonderful panoramic view. Then you can enjoy nature in the extensive Garden of Eden, directly adjacent to a forest and meadow landscape. There is also a Kneipp facility in the old cloister.

The Romantic Candle Spa at the Hotel Klosterbräu offers a wide range of relaxation possibilities:

  • 8 theme saunas including the hand-carved sauna, which is unique in the world
  • 8 rest and relaxation rooms, and
  • 1 never-ending well of beer (self-brewed free beer!)
  • Extensive shower landscape with ice fountain

Especially the beautiful hand carved sauna is not to be missed during a visit. In the Spiritual Spa you can continue to pamper yourself with massages, treatments or in the Private Spa. I was delighted with my full body massage and felt deeply relaxed afterwards.

Culinary delights

Hotel Klosterbräu

From morning to night you will also be spoilt with culinary delights at the Hotel Klosterbräu. In the vaulted hall and the Knight Oswald Stube, hotel guests enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and a delicious 6-course menu every evening. An extensive breakfast is just the thing for an energetic start to the day. In the evening the menu offers the right choice for every guest, with a daily salad & cheese buffet, hot dishes from the buffet, pasta station and ice cream van to sample. During the day we enjoyed our lunch break with delicious food on the sun terrace or in the Vitalbistro. In the afternoon coffee and cake are served there as well.

The Seefeld region

The Seefeld region offers a variety of activities such as hiking, e-biking, golf, winter sports and much more. We enjoyed our Saturday with a walk around the Wildsee. The Hotel Klosterbräu prepared a wonderfully rich picnic package for us.

I enjoyed my stay at the Wellnesshotel Klosterbräu very much, I was quite enthusiastic about the hotel complex itself, the culinary delights and the beautiful nature in Seefeld.
