Mode Suisse 16

The number one fashion show in Switzerland took place again last weekend, namely it was already Mode Suisse Edition 16. Already in the afternoon we were able to examine the masterpieces of the Swiss fashion designers at the Media Preview, before it was called in the evening: It’s Showtime!

Mode Suisse 16

Before the show started, there was still time for a little aperitif in the super cool location. By the way, Mode Suisse 16 was also the very first outdoor show.

At the premises of the General Vocational School Zurich (ABZ), Mode Suisse took place for the 16th time, where selected Swiss fashion designers presented their collections. Based on the constantly adjusted concept of the event series, labels such as After Work Studio, Amorphosis, Forbidden Denimeries or Julia Heuer enthused again. On the catwalk were collections by After Work Studio (Basel), Amorphose (Lugano), Forbidden Denimeries (Geneva), Jacqueline Loekito (Basel), Julia Heuer (Stuttgart), Mourjjan (Zurich, Beirut, Mykonos), Nina Yuun ( Basel, Seoul) and the students of the HEAD – Genève and the Institute of Fashion Design HGK FHNW. Another show highlight was the Capsule Collection by MADE VISIBLE®, created by the young design collective ArchivesTM (Tiffanie Bellenot, Justin Person, Victor Prieux from Geneva): MADE VISIBLE® x ArchivesTM. The three talented alumni of the HEAD – Genève worked together with textile manufacturers such as Schoeller and Rotofil. The confident Capsule Collection is intended to further fuel the trend for fashionable visibility in road traffic.

In December I attended once again Zermattfashion in beautiful Zermatt. Also this year the pretty winter sports resort became a fashion hotspot in the mountains. From 13.12. till 16.12.2018 Zermattfashion took place this year. There were great brands, talented artists and edgy models – a colorful mix of talents.

I was also allowed to spend the night in a beautiful room of the Hotel Chesa Valese, with more details.

The Shows 2018

On Friday I arrived just in time for attending the New Comer Fashion Show at Vernissage Zermatt. In the Club Vernissage by Heinz Julen, who already served as the location for the first 2 editions, five talented young Swiss designers joined us: Gela Wesh, Nasuri, Wild Luxe, Lahara, Ghislain Clerc and outfits div. Swiss young designer of the local concept store “Fernanda’s” presents. Entertainment was provided by the talented Lucas Fischer.

Personally, I particularly liked the collections of Nasuri and Lahari – especially because of the materials used. The evening rehearsals were of course also breathtaking.

On Saturday, the Grand Brand Fashion Show was presented. I was especially looking forward to this program point. At the Fashion Plaza, outdoor in front of the Restaurant Molino, five established labels – Fusalp, Jet Set, Peak Performance, NILE and INUIKII showed their latest winter looks. As always, Jet Set was one of my favorites – I just love the retro chic of her ski outfits. On the other hand, I always associate Nile with wintry bohochic and coolness – while Fusalp and Peak Performance score with functionality.

Another highlight was as in the past year, the atmosphere in the open air at minus temperatures under cuddly blankets. We were entertained properly by the talented singer JIZELLE, who melted some spectators and the snow with her voice. Many spectators and of course I was also looking forward to three well-known faces among the models. The two winners of the Elite Model Look Contest Switzerland Léo Calani and Helena Fritz as well as Switzerlands Next Top Model winner Savior also ran over the catwalks.

My stay at Hotel Chesa Valese

Already on Friday I was able to check in at the homely hotel Chesa Valese. I was allowed to unpack my suitcases in the Chalet Apartment Ca ‘d’Angelina directly opposite the main building and immediately felt at home there.

Me and also my bff, who accompanied me, immediately felt welcome and at home. The apartment has a modern open kitchen, a living and dining area, a spacious bedroom, bath / shower and two toilets and a nice terrace. Especially the interior design with the large window front and the many warm wood I really liked.

For having breakfast we went to the hotel itself and were spoiled with everything what our heart desired. Whether sweet or savory, freshly squeezed orange juice or delicious scrambled eggs. The location of the Chesa Valese is also ideal – we were able to reach all important points within a few minutes on foot while walking through the enchanting mountain village of Zermatt. By the way, you will be greeted at the station by the hotel’s own electric car and taken to the hotel.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Zermatt.

In December I was allowed to attend Zermatt Fashion for the first time. For all who do not know Zermatt yet. Zermatt is located at the foot of the Matterhorn in Valais. Especially is the fact that in Zermatt is an absolute ban on cars. For the third time, Zermatt Fashion took place in breathtaking surroundings.

During three days the beautiful Zermatt became a fashion hotspot. On Friday and Saturday evening there were fashion shows. But first some impressions of the pop-up stores.

The secondhand pop-up store was right at our hotel the Walliserhof. The Youngdesigner Pop-up Store opened its doors in the Hotel Zermatterhof.

There, too, the two fashion shows took place. On Friday evening the Youngdesigner Fashion Show kicked off. In this presented young swiss fashion talents their collections. Included were Genie in a bag, Dijana Honegger, M. Luna, WISLY SWITZERLAND, Ting Sun, BYBUI and Brandengate.

My personal highlight was the collections of BYBUI. With filigree embroidery and beautiful robes she was my discovery of the evening.

Who has to post everything with the smartphone right now on Instagram? ^^ Exactly the lady with the red sweater – that’s me. Incidentally, the models here wear the pretty bags of Genie in a bag. The show took place in the beautiful hall of the Hotel Zermatterhof.

On Saturday evening the grand fashion show took place  outdoor in front of the Hotel Zermatterhof. The fashion show was a mix of music by DJ Mr. Da-Nos, shows and runway walks. The models presented hip winter fashion labels. Included were: Jet Set, nnim clothing, PAPARAZZI, INUIKII, MYKITA, Fusalp, NILE, Peak Performance and FRIDAY by OLMO Zermatt as well as the ski brand VALAISKI.

The show was more than successful, the models presented the collection with confidence. Of course, there were many beautiful pieces to discover here, from ski fashion, winter fashion, accessories and skis to everything your heart desires. My personal favorite labels were Jet Set and Paparazzi.

Zermatt Fashion was truly a unique experience, something very special. I’ve often been to Mode Suisse in Zurich or even to the Fashion Week in Berlin. In Zermatt you feel a lot “homelier” which of course is due to a not negligible part of the beautiful surroundings. Generally, of course, the unique concept. In any case, I’m already looking forward to the 2018 edition.

I also felt very well at the Hotel Walliserhof Zermatt, one of the many hotel partners of Zermatt Fashion. A sympathetic hotel in family property, which is already run by the 3rd generation.

The room is very modern and at the same time super comfortable. I also like all the little details. I like it if the rooms are decorated with attention to detail and not in every room a 0815 equipment is to be found. This gives the hotel character. The hotel also has a mini-spa.

The whole decor is in top condition and the rooms are very well maintained. The breakfast room and the Theodors Stuba invite you to linger. Throughout the hotel there are also characteristic decorative elements that make you forget that you are currently in the Alps.

My visit took place just before Christmas, so of course I did not hesitate to pose in front of the beautiful Christmas tree. ^^ Super sweet I also found the Christmas cookie at the reception. All in all a great stay in a sympathetic hotel.

Thanks to Zermatt Fashion and Hotel Walliserhof Zermatt for the invitation.

This Monday, I was at the Mode Suisse 12 a Fashion Show in Zurich to once again discover the great collections of Swiss designers. The Fashionshow with 12 labels was super designed. Today I would like to tell you more about it and present my outfit for the Mode Suisse.

Outfit Leopard Mini Skirt Fishnet Tights

Yes, this outfit certainly belongs to the more striking variety. But I wanted to make a look with Fishnet Tights for so long. On Monday it seemed to me just super suitable. This great skirt I found at H&M, I love the animal leopard print and the asymmetrical cut.

Collective Swallow has presented unusual creations as well. A cooperation between Ladina Steiniger and SOL SOL ITO, creative designs for women were created. Before Adrian Reber presented his men’s collection. LIDA NOBA and Kevin Germanier presented both their beautiful creations, the latter scored with a lot of glitter and the most beautiful earrings of the evening.

My super comfortable ankle boots by Dosenbach carried me stylishly through the evening. The Hard Rock Café Shirt I bought during my stay in Cologne this spring. It fits perfectly to the rocking look. My watch, by the way, is by Mockberg. The Moon Choker by Todaysdesigner, a wonderful jewelery designer from Geneva.

Mode Suisse 12 took place at Schiffbau in Zurich, a really great location for the Fashionshow. It almost reminded me of locations at the Berlin Fashionweek this summer.

This week, I was at the Fashion Berlin Spring / Summer 2018. The many impressions and experiences can not be summarized in only one post, so I will report in three articles about the Fashion Week. Today I would like to start with a few events, which I have attended.

Fashionbloggercafé

On Tuesday it went directly from the airport to the Fashionbloggercafé at Berlin Mitte Beach. There I had a delicious salad and some drinks by Lillet, helpful workshops and chats with blogger collegues.

The beach in the middle of the city is a really cool location and put me in spite of the incentive immediately in a holiday mood, with cool beats and drinks. At P2 Cosmetics you could get your make-up done and there was a great goodie bag for me, whose content I have already shown you on Instastories.

After the fashion blogger café, I went to my accommodation first before I went to the Fashionshows of IOANA CIOLACU and NATHINI VAN DER SEE. The five Fashionshows I visited will be brought to you in another post soon.

Bloggerlounge

On Wednesday I had more appointments, first I went to the bloggerlounge of Hashmag. There were all sorts of pretty things to discover.

On one hand, C&A presented their upcoming Spring / Summer Collection and Sebamed its Beautyproducts. I am already looking forward to the light pastel tones.

Wonderful was also the great wall of flowers from C & A.

From my childhood, I still know the magazine “Mädchen” (girl) they brought a huge unicorn with them. I was also surprised by the perfumed ink, this one smells like chocolate, how great is that?

I was absolutely delighted of the super delicious waffle of Wonderwaffels. It was incredibly yummy.

At Bijoux Brigitte we were able to decorate our own choker, this was so fun.

Thomas Sabo

The Thomas Sabo event took place over the rooftops of Berlin in the China Garden and offered great weather and a crazy view. We were allowed to have two cute bracelets engraved. The new collection is also very charming.

Kaufhaus Jandorf

Between the Fashionshows there was much to discover in the department store Jandorf, one of the locations of this year Fashion Week. The collections of some designers could be shopped there as well.

All eyes have been and as a popular photosujet also proved this jewel.

At Maybellin one of the official partners of the Berlin Fashion Week you could also get your make-up done.

Wunderwerk

On Wednesday evening after all the events and Fashionshows I went to a chilly get-together at Wunderwerk Berlin.

I am looking forward to showing you my Top 3 Fashionweek outfits and the five Fashionshows I attended.

This weekend, I was on the road with Miss Earth Switzerland Sarah Laura Peyrel and the organizers of Miss Earth Switzerland in the region of Bussy and Morges. Today I want to share with you the best moments.

La ferme de Laurence Cretegny

First we were allowed to look around at the farm of the dear ones and eat some traditional dishes. In addition to their animals, which can enjoy their lives ob the farm. There is also a farm shop in which own and products from the region are sold. For example you can buy delicious homemade bread made of self-made wheat.

After the fine and regular lunch we undertook a ride through the countryside with the beautiful horses of Laurence and her carriage.

La Cave du Brantard

The carriage ride through the picturesque landscape led us to Pierre, a wine and alcoolproducer, who couldn’t be more sympathetic.

There we could taste the delicate wines of Pierre, from the region of course.

Château Morges

Then we went to Morges to admire the wonderful exhibition of Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn in the castle of Morges. For all fashion fans, the dresses are simply stunning, but have a look yourself.

By the way, the town of Morges is worth a visit anyway.

Morges

La maison de la rivière

We also visited La maison de la riviere in Tolochenaz, where we were given exciting insights. Sarah was even allowed to get into a submarine with which our museum guide was already under water. By the way, to prevent rivers from becoming too hot there is a simple solution, planting trees on the shore.

L’Arboretum

An impressive green oasis can be found in L’Arboretum. A collection of different trees and plants from all over the world make this park very special. We were particularly impressed by the many different types of magnolia too.

I hope I was able to bring you closer to the beautiful area of the french part of Switzerland with this report and I would like to thank all the participants that I could be there <3
