Last-Minute Halloween 2026: Costumes, Decorations and Everything That Still Arrives in Time

It is mid-October, Halloween is two weeks away, and you have nothing. No costume, no decorations, no sweets for the children who will ring your doorbell on 31 October. If it is any comfort: that is how it goes every year, for almost everyone.

This article is made for exactly that moment. Everything here can be ordered from Amazon and will arrive in time if you stick to the deadlines below. I filtered the search results by one simple rule: at least 4 stars and at least 25 genuine reviews. Anything with two reviews and no brand name did not make it — and Halloween searches are unfortunately full of that.

Your ordering deadline

This is the most important part of the article, which is why it is at the top and not the bottom:

• Switzerland: by around 24 October. Amazon.de does deliver to Switzerland, but with customs clearance it realistically takes three to five working days. Order on the 29th and you will celebrate without a costume.
• Germany and Austria: by around 29 October. With Prime the 30th still works, but with no margin if the size is wrong.

And one tip you rarely read: order costumes a size larger than you think. Almost all costume makers cut smaller than normal clothing, and there is no time left for an exchange.

If you realise on 29 October that there is still no costume in your wardrobe, you do not need something tailor-made — you need something that works on its own. Capes are perfect for that: throw one piece over whatever you are already wearing and you are done. 8. Pumpkin Carving

The kitchen-knife attempt ends the same way every year: crooked eyes and a torn lid. This is the part you forget while planning and need most urgently on the night. Children clear a buffet in twenty minutes and then want something to do. What you actually need
