Last weekend I was allowed to visit the Wellnesshotel Golf Panorama in Lipperswil. The Hotel Golf Panorama is situated in the canton of Thurgau between the foothills of the Alps and Lake Constance, in the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The Hotel Golf Panorama offers 42 spacious double rooms, 8 junior suites, 2 suites and 2 apartments. It is also a member of Private Selection Hotels and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). Today I would like to tell you more about my wonderful stay at the Hotel Golf Panorama.
The Hotel
The Wellnesshotel Golf Panorama has a very special history, because in the past the agricultural property was used for a pig farm. On the site of the former stables, a luxurious superior design and wellness hotel with an 18-hole and a 9-hole golf course was opened in 2010. Thus the Golf Panorama is perfect for everyone who wants to combine culinary delights, relaxation and sport. The idyllic location is also particularly practical, yet can be reached within 1.5 hours from Lucerne or within around 1 hour from Zurich.
Our Room
We enjoyed our stay in one of the spacious junior suites with a freestanding bathtub. My personal highlight was the artificial starry sky directly above the bathtub. What could be nicer than a relaxing bath under the starry sky. Anyway I felt at home immediately in this very cozy and spacious room with a beautiful view too.
Restaurant Lion D’Or
I was able to enjoy culinary delights in the in-house restaurant Lion D’Or with 14 GaultMillau points. Chef Peter Vogel spoils his guests with exceptional creations with seasonal and regional products. On Friday evening, right after our arrival, I was able to enjoy the wonderful fish buffet. Every Saturday evening the Lion D’Or offers an extraordinary gourmet dinner. The gourmet dinner was simply excellent. Furthermore, I like to let the pictures speak and stimulate the appetite.
Before or after dinner, the bar Lion D’Or invites you to linger and enjoy delicious drinks with the soft sounds of a pianist. The perfect conclusion to a successful evening.
The wellness area
The wellness hotel Golf Panorama offers a wonderful wellness area as well as a fitness room. The wellness area “FLEUR DE POMME” covers 2000 m2 and offers an indoor pool of 30 degrees, an outdoor brine whirlpool of 37 degrees, a steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a Kneipp sauna and a recreation zone. In addition, body and beauty treatments are offered in eleven treatment rooms. For pregnant guests, there are even massage loungers for extra comfort.
