A little time out in the stressful Advent season was much requested, especially in the Christmas ambience of the beautiful Christmas room of the Sorell Hotel Zürichberg, where you can switch off from everyday life. The Christmas spirit came quick. I would like to tell you more about our stay today. The Christmas rooms can be booked in 13 of the 16 Sorell Hotels in Switzerland. By the way, the Christmas rooms are furnished in cooperation with the furnishing brand “Livique” and can be booked until 9 January 2022.
The attention to detail transforms the atmospheric ambience of the room into a wonderful Christmas world. We were welcomed with Christmas treats such as biscuits, dried fruit and other Christmas nibbles. The warm colours and cozy decorative elements created a cosy Christmas atmosphere from the very first minute.
By the way, the Hotel Zürichberg looks back on 120 years of history and is located in the middle of nature. The view of the city of Zurich and Lake Zurich in particular is unique. Nevertheless, it only takes ten minutes to reach the city centre of Zurich. The Zurich Zoo can even be reached on foot in a few minutes. Thanks to the wonderful ambience and the courteous hosts, you immediately feel at home. Perfect to enjoy some time out. Although the Sorell Hotel Zürichberg is only 1 hour away from our home, we were able to switch off and enjoy the change of scenery to the fullest.

In addition to the Christmas room and the Christmassy atmosphere at Hotel Zürichberg, don’t miss a dinner at Chalet Züriberg. Until 12 February 2022, you can enjoy Swiss specialities and more at Chalet Züriberg. A fondue for two or with friends – a cosy winter evening is pre-programmed.
We enjoyed a classic fondue chinoise with meat from the Ziegler butcher’s shop by a warm fireplace with candlelight. The chalet itself, with its Christmas lighting, was a highlight of our stay. By the way, I can recommend a fine Toblerone mousse for dessert, and a glass of Chalet Aperitif is the perfect start to a cosy evening.
