The Hotel Waldorf Astoria in Ras al Khaimah is a luxury hotel set amidst an impressive landscape of mountains, deserts and the turquoise waters of the Persian Gulf. As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the beauty, elegance and hospitality of the hotel.

The Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah offers guests a wealth of amenities, including a private beach, spa and a variety of restaurants and bars. The rooms and suites are all elegantly furnished and offer stunning views of the sea or surrounding countryside. The design is almost reminiscent of a palace.
The rooms
The hotel has 346 spacious rooms and suites, all with state-of-the-art amenities and luxurious details. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the elegant and spacious rooms with sea view. Even the welcome at the hotel was absolutely incomparable.
The beautiful room is the perfect home for a successful stay in Ras al Khaimah. The bright and oriental interior design creates an atmosphere of well-being that is second to none.
Culinary delights
In addition to an incomparable breakfast buffet including freshly prepared delicacies such as Egg Benedict, Omlette and Co., the hotel has an impressive selection of restaurants and bars that offer something for every taste. From the Sunset Beach Club & Lounge to the Mediterranean Azure Restaurant and the Lexington Grill & Bar Steakhouse, I was able to try a few of the hotel’s eight restaurants and was always delighted.
Lexington Grill & Bar
The Lexington Grill & Bar restaurant in Ras al Khaimah is an award-winning steakhouse that offers its guests high-quality steaks, seafood and a selection of fine wines. Don’t miss the house specialities such as the beef tartare. The restaurant has an elegant and cosy atmosphere as well as a terrace overlooking the sea and the sunset, making it an ideal place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.
Restaurant Azure
Azure offers modern cuisine with Mediterranean and Asian influences. The menu at Azure offers a wide range of dishes, all prepared with quality ingredients, including fresh seafood and delicious vegetarian creations. Pasta and pizza lovers will also get their money’s worth here.
Sunset Beach Club & Lounge
Fancy a light lunch or snack? Then the Sunset Beach Club & Lounge is just right. The sushi and Thai salad are simply excellent and my personal favorites. The relaxed atmosphere, the location near the beach and pool invites you to enjoy the sunset.
Beach, pool and wellness
The hotel’s private beach with its white sand is absolutely unique and invites you to spend relaxing beach days. In addition to the beach, it is also possible to relax wonderfully at the three pools, there is a pool for Adults only at the Sunset Beach Club & Lounge. For the children there is also a pool with water slides and co. And at the large pool everyone relaxes together. For those who crave relaxation, the Waldorf Astoria Spa offers an extensive selection of treatments and massages. The spa area with saunas and steam bath is the perfect place to relax and unwind the body and mind.
Leisure facilities & golf
The hotel also offers a range of leisure facilities for guests. The 18-hole golf course of the Al hamra Golf club is a definite highlight for golf enthusiasts. There is also a tennis court, various water sports and a kids club for younger guests to discover. Incidentally, the golf course was designed by the famous golfer Colin Montgomerie. The course is one of the best in the region and offers a challenging golfing experience.
My stay
Overall, the Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah is an absolute must for anyone planning a luxurious and memorable trip to the United Arab Emirates. The hotel offers guests a unique combination of relaxing beach holidays, sophisticated golfing, exquisite culinary experiences and a wealth of activities and experiences that make it one of the best hotels in the region. What has stayed in my mind the most, apart from the culinary delights, was the excellent service I experienced during my stay. The hotel staff were always extremely friendly and accommodating and did everything they could to make my stay as pleasant as possible. From check-in to check-out, I felt like a VIP guest.
