Hiking in autumn with Columbia Sportswear

Already during the summer, Marvin and I were out and about in nature a lot. Autumn is also a wonderful time for sporty excursions in near and far. We used last Sunday for a hike in Engelberg and of course to test our new sports looks from Columbia.

The suitable clothing is absolutely essential when it comes to outdoor activities, so I decided to wear comfortable hiking leggings from Columbia. The Windgates™ II leggings from Columbia are not only super comfortable, thanks to the high-quality, moisture-regulating material with SPF 50 you stay dry and protected as well. The side mesh pockets are also very practical. Without a good windbreaker you can’t go hiking in autumn, so I’m super happy with my Tapanga Trail™ jacket from Columbia. It is available in different colors and it’s perfect for hiking. Thanks to the waterproof, breathable materials and the fully sealed seams, even rain won’t keep me from exploring. I can move around wonderfully in the jacket, the wind is optimally kept out and the heat does not accumulate. In addition, the storm hood can be easily unfolded out of the collar. The flexible Essential Explorer™ backpack with 20L capacity is very practical too. It offers a lot of storage space and is comfortable to carry, even on a long hike, thanks to the padded straps. The roll-top closure also provides easy access to the rucksack contents. The backpack can be easily attached to the body with the chest strap and removable hip belt. The backpack then comes with a built-in whistle for a safe feeling and a compatible drinking system for 3 litres.

But the most important thing for me personally to go on a pleasant hike are the shoes. So I have chosen a brand new model from Columbia, which is visually much more modern than my old hiking boots. In particular, the shoe is at least as comfortable as my favourite sneakers and offers the necessary support in the ankle area. The SH/FT OutDry™ boot is a winter and hiking boot in one. The boot is made of waterproof textile and leather, the sole offers sufficient grip even on slippery surfaces.

My boyfriend Marvin has chosen the OutDry™ Ex Light Shell jacket from Columbia. The jacket is comfortable and light to wear. He also likes the sporty and figure-hugging fit, because the jacket still offers great freedom of movement. The OutDry Extreme System keeps rain drops away and at the same time allows body heat to escape. The seams are fully taped too.

When it comes to shoes, Marvin has chosen the stylish Facet 30 OutDry model from Columbia. This hiking sneaker was inspired by running shoes. The shoe has super good cushioning and offers great support. The shoes can be put on in a flash thanks to the closure system. As the shoe is very light, it is also suitable as a trail running shoe.

We are now definitely ready for further hiking adventures in autumn.
