PillerseeTal in summer: nature, adventure and culinary highlights

Today I’m taking you on another fascinating journey through the picturesque PillerseeTal. This region between the imposing Kitzbühel Alps and the impressive Loferer Steinberge not only promises untouched nature and adventure, but also culinary delights and highlights for the whole family. I was all the more pleased to get to know the region better in summer as well.

Adventures in the Triassic Park, Timok’s Wild World and water fun at Pillersee

At Pillersee, I enjoyed the sparkle of the crystal-clear water during a relaxing round of stand-up paddleboarding. You can also live out your thirst for adventure in the high ropes course or in a bubble on the lake. Afterwards, we had lunch at the trout ranch, where the focus was on fresh, in-house trout.

An absolute highlight of my trip was the visit to the viewing platform on the Steinplatte and the Triassic Park. Don’t miss the breathtaking panoramic view from the viewing platform. From the highest sandy beach in the Alps to the fascinating dinos and the impressive Triassic Trail, there was plenty to discover and experience. The captivating world of the Stone Mountain King can also be found here.

Timok’s Wild World at the Streuböden middle station in Fieberbrunn offers a special playground for young and old. The fast-paced ride on the coaster made my heart race, while the untouched nature provided relaxation. Of course, I also stumbled upon another station of the Steinberg King here.

The majestic Jakobskreuz and action in family land

My visit to the Jakobskreuz was once again an experience, as it is the largest accessible summit cross in the world, on the summit of the Buchensteinwand. Five viewing platforms provide a 360° panoramic view of the breathtaking landscape. This imposing monument attracts not only pilgrims, but also thinkers and free spirits who find new ideas and creative inspiration here.

The Pillerseetal Card: Your key to the region

The Pillerseetal Card proved to be a real treasure chest of my trip. It granted me access to a wide range of activities, attractions and discounts in the region. From mountain railways to numerous attractions, the card opened up a world of possibilities for me in the PillerseeTal.

Hotel Chalets Grosslehen: A home away from home

The Hotel Chalets Grosslehen in Fieberbrunn welcomed me on my visit. The Grosslehen is a living piece of contemporary history. Built around 1632 as a farm, today it is a special place of well-being. Close ties to nature, tradition and hospitality have always been at home here.

Products from our own farm and from local partners conjure up unique culinary experiences. Which I was able to enjoy at breakfast and dinner.

From the balcony I could admire the peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps and the surrounding meadows and forests. Nature is also the focus of the wellness oasis in the Grosslehen. High-quality materials from the surrounding area create relaxation. Accompanied by forest, meadow and water as well as a panoramic view of the Tyrolean mountains, you can recharge your batteries here. Whether in the wooden wellness lounge, on the panoramic lawn or in the natural bathing pond – here you will find peace and strength.
