Autumn holiday at the Princess Andriana Hotel on Rhodes

press trip

In the second week of October, I had the pleasure of spending a week at the five-star Princess Andriana – an H Hotels Collection hotel – on the picturesque island of Rhodes. With its stunning location on the south-east coast of the island, surrounded by unspoilt beaches and the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea, this stay was just what I needed to get away from it all.

Arrival and first impressions

When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly reception team who immediately made me feel welcome. The modern, elegant design of the hotel and the beautiful garden landscape made the first impression unforgettable. As soon as I arrived in my room, I received a beautiful fruit platter with fine bubbles as a welcome gift – what a welcome.

The family room with shared pool

Our spacious family room was a true paradise for us. Spacious, stylish and with a modern design, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The shared pool concept was a particular hit. Being able to swim and relax right outside the door created a relaxed atmosphere where we could spend quality time together as a family. Sitting on the terrace in the morning with a coffee and planning the day was a luxurious treat.

The family room at the Hotel Princess Andriana is ideal for families and, at 41 m², offers enough space for up to four guests. The elegant furnishings and clever sliding doors create a pleasant separation between the parents’ sleeping area and the living area for the children.

With a large double bed and two single beds, comfort is guaranteed. Direct access to the large, shared pool area allows children to splash around to their heart’s content while their parents relax on the terrace. The minibar is also included in the Ultra All-Inclusive offer.

Modern amenities such as air conditioning, a smart TV and a well-stocked minibar round off the stay. The bathroom has a bathtub and double washbasins for added comfort. The family room with shared pool is therefore the perfect place for unforgettable holiday moments on Rhodes.

Culinary experiences in three restaurants

The Princess Andriana Hotel offers a comprehensive culinary experience with a variety of restaurants. During my stay, I visited three of the hotel’s restaurants:

Gourmet Restaurant Moonlight

The Moonlight was the perfect place for a special evening. The elegant ambience and first-class service set the tone for an unforgettable dinner. The menu offered an exquisite selection of international and local dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each dish was a work of art in itself and the combinations of flavours were simply heavenly. I highly recommend the lamb fillet and the homemade tiramisu! The wine list was equally impressive, offering a careful selection of local and international wines that paired perfectly with the food.

BBQ Coral Restaurant

Another highlight was the BBQ Coral Restaurant. Here it was all about the relaxed atmosphere and delicious barbecues – authentic Greek, of course. The selection of freshly grilled meat, fish and vegetables was overwhelming. It was great to dine in the open air and enjoy the flair of the summer evening. The Greek appetisers are definitely not to be missed.

Italian Style Restaurant

Last but not least, we visited the Italian Style Restaurant. Italian cuisine is known for its savoury flavours and I was not disappointed. From the perfect risotto with squid to the pork fillet and panacotta, every dish was a delight. The view of the hotel’s fountain was also particularly beautiful, as there is always a great show with lights and music in the evening.

Ultra All Inclusive

Another advantage of my stay at the Hotel Princess Andriana was the Ultra All Inclusive concept. This meant that we didn’t have to worry about anything around the clock. From delicious buffets for breakfast and lunch to snacks and drinks by the pool – everything was included in the price. The selection of cocktails was particularly impressive. It was wonderful to just go to one of the restaurants after a long day at the beach or pool without having to worry about additional costs. In addition, there were always snacks, fresh fruit and ice cream during the day.

Swimming at the hotel

The Princess Andriana Hotel offers plenty of opportunities to relax and swim, both in the pool area and on the hotel’s own beach. The extensive pool area with several pools was the perfect place to cool off on hot days. The sun loungers and pool bar were the perfect place to unwind.

Access to the hotel’s private beach, just a few steps away, was particularly nice. I was able to swim in the clear waters and watch the sunrise. The beach was well equipped with sunbeds and parasols, so we could always retreat to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet. Being able to order a refreshing drink right on the beach made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether swimming, reading on a sun lounger or just relaxing on the beach, every day was a pleasure and the ideal setting for an unforgettable time.

Sports and leisure activities

The Hotel Princess Andriana not only offers first-class gastronomic experiences, but also a variety of sports and leisure activities to make your stay even more exciting.

Tennis

The hotel’s tennis centre is a real highlight for tennis lovers. With several courts suitable for both beginners and advanced players, it’s a great place to let off steam. There is also the option of booking tennis lessons with a professional coach, which I highly recommend to improve my technique.

Fitness and Wellness

In addition to tennis, the hotel also had a well-equipped fitness room with modern equipment. Here I was able to complete my daily workouts and prepare for my next cocktail at the same time!

After training, a visit to the spa area was just what I needed. The relaxing treatments and massages helped me to regenerate and leave the stress of everyday life behind me. The wellness offerings included everything from facials to body wraps – a perfect place to recharge my batteries.

Miniclub and Animation

There is also an extensive leisure programme for families. Children can play with their peers in the mini club and realise creative projects. Adults can also enjoy numerous activities from beach volleyball and yoga on the beach to dancing. A water park will also be opening next year.

Evening entertainment

Every evening there are live events and entertainment in the hotel’s own arena. From music nights to dance performances, there was always something to enjoy. The chance to enjoy the evening with the family over a drink and watch the performances was a lovely way to end each day.

Summary

My stay at the Princess Andriana Hotel was an absolute dream. The combination of a comfortable family room, delicious food, sporting activities and the Ultra All Inclusive service made it a perfect place for a family holiday. Rhodes has so much to offer and the hotel is the ideal base from which to discover the beauty and culture of the island. Whether exploring the ancient ruins of Lindos, visiting the old town of Rhodes or simply relaxing on the beach – I can only recommend this place and am already looking forward to my next visit!
