April brings fresh beauty favorites: matte lips, a modern soft-matte complexion, gentle care for sensitive scalps, beautiful self-care rituals, and thoughtful care products for moms and babies. I took a closer look at this month’s new launches and am sharing my personal highlights with you.
NARS Natural Matte Longwear Foundation
One of my make-up highlights in April is the new NARS Natural Matte Longwear Foundation. The Matte foundation can quickly sound dry or heavy — but here, it is much more about a modern, naturally matte finish with a soft-focus skin effect.
The foundation is designed to be long-wearing, control shine, and still feel pleasantly lightweight on the skin. For me, it is exactly the kind of complexion product that fits perfectly into spring: polished, even, but not overloaded. I especially like this look for days when you want your complexion to last without looking too heavily made up. According to NARS, the foundation offers a natural matte finish with long wear and a weightless feel.
L’Oréal Color Riche Hyaluron Tint Lip Stain Serum
The Color Riche Hyaluron Lip Stain Serum combines intense color with a cared-for, comfortable feel. The lightweight serum texture glides gently over the lips and creates a fresh stain effect, while hyaluronic acid gives the lips a hydrated feeling.
I especially love lip stains like these in spring in soft rose, nude, and berry tones. They look fresh, elegant, and effortless — and pair beautifully with both natural, glowing skin and a slightly more defined make-up look.
Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Matcha
A good powder is always interesting to me when it sets the complexion without making the skin look dry. The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Matcha is an exciting highlight for anyone who loves a soft-focus, long-lasting make-up look.
The shade Matcha is a green setting powder, which is especially interesting for visually balancing redness. The loose powder is designed to set make-up, smooth the complexion, and visibly refine the appearance of pores and fine lines. It is particularly beautiful when applied strategically: around the nose, on areas with redness, or wherever the complexion tends to become shiny throughout the day.
For spring, I find this exact balance important: not completely mattified, but beautifully controlled — with a gentle color-correcting effect that makes the complexion appear fresher and more even.
Batiste Sensitive Dry Shampoo
Hair care is also getting a little update in April. The Batiste Sensitive Dry Shampoo are designed for sensitive scalps and, depending on the version, come either with a light fragrance or without fragrance. The range is dermatologically tested and contains aloe vera.
For me, dry shampoo is an absolute everyday hero — especially on days when my hair still needs to look fresh, but there is no time for a full wash. I find the Sensitive line especially interesting because it is made for everyone who loves dry shampoo but reacts a little more sensitively to fragrance or scalp feel
Shiseido Expert Sun Protector Lotion Sensitive SPF50+
Sun protection is also a must in April — especially when the first really warm spring days arrive. New in the line-up is the Shiseido Expert Sun Protector Lotion Sensitive SPF50+, a sunscreen lotion for face and body that was specially developed for sensitive skin.
The lightweight lotion offers high protection against UVA and UVB rays and combines sun protection with caring properties. The WetForce technology is particularly exciting: the protective film is designed to become even stronger when it comes into contact with water or sweat. At the same time, the texture feels pleasantly light and transparent — ideal for anyone who does not like heavy, sticky sunscreen.
For me, the Shiseido lotion is a lovely April highlight because it fits perfectly into the transitional season: the sun is getting stronger, the skin is often more sensitive after winter, and reliable SPF becomes a daily must-have again. I also find it especially practical that it can be used on both the face and body.
A-Derma Epitheliale A.H Ultra
For irritated, sensitive, or stressed skin the A-Derma Epitheliale A.H Ultra is a beautiful skincare highlight. The cream is designed as a soothing, regenerating care product for face and body and can help support the skin barrier.
Especially in spring, when the skin can sometimes become a little unbalanced due to changing weather, sun exposure, treatments, or active ingredients, this kind of repair care is a practical companion. The images also show a version with sun protection — ideal when the skin needs additional protection during the day.
Pixi Beauty Dream-y Mist & Dream-y Satin Pillowcase
Pixi Beauty naturally has to be included in the April highlights. I especially like the Pixi Dream-y Mist and the Dream-y Satin Pillowcase. The Dream-y Mist is a soothing, hydrating spray for the evening routine and contains, among other things, aromatic ingredients intended to support the bedtime ritual.
The Dream-y Satin Pillowcase complements it perfectly as a pretty beauty-sleep accessory. The satin pillowcase is designed to help hair and skin look smoother in the morning.
For me, Pixi is less of a classic skincare step here and more of a small self-care ritual: applying evening skincare, using the mist, sinking into bed — and ending the day in a slightly more beautiful way.
Mustela Maternité & Baby-Care
Mustela is also part of the April line-up with several products. I especially like the mix of baby care and care for expecting or new moms.
The Mustela Maternité Essential Care Multi-Purpose Lotion iis a certified organic multi-purpose lotion for the needs of the skin during pregnancy and the postpartum period. The Mustela Stretch Marks Oil is designed for expecting moms and aims to keep the skin supple while helping to reduce feelings of tightness.
Mustela’s baby products also remain classics: gentle textures, practical formats, and care that can be easily integrated into everyday life. I especially like the combination of care oil, lotion, and small basics for baby skin.
My conclusion on the April beauty news
For me, April is clearly all about soft matte finishes, gentle care, and small beauty rituals. The new NARS Foundation brings the modern matte complexion back, L’Oréal Paris delivers the matching lip colors, Batiste makes dry shampoo more scalp-friendly, and Pixi Beauty creates a beautiful self-care moment in the evening.
My personal highlights? The NARS Natural Matte Longwear Foundation for an even complexion, the L’Oréal Paris lip products for matte everyday looks, and the Pixi Dream-y Mist — because sometimes beauty can simply be a small ritual too.
