Finally, it’s festival season again – and this year, I had the chance to experience Zürich Openair 2025 not just as a music fan but with a VIP ticket and exclusive access to the ZOA Social Community Apéro. Between dazzling lights, palm trees, and the electrifying atmosphere right in front of the main stage, the weekend felt like a mini-holiday. From captivating performances by Empire of the Sun, Halsey, and Scooter to a stylish aperitif with Miraval Rosé on the rooftop bar – here’s my personal festival report for you!
Why Zürich Openair? What makes this festival so special
Zürich Openair has become one of the hottest events in Switzerland – and not just because of the top-tier line-up. The mix of international acts like Empire of the Sun, Halsey, and Scooter combined with the laid-back, creative atmosphere make this festival a true highlight for music and lifestyle lovers.
My personal festival upgrade: The ZOA Social Community VIP Apéro in collaboration with Miraval Rosé – probably the most beautiful Rosé de Provence for sunny moments.
Line-up Highlights at Zürich Openair 2025 – Two Weekends, Endless Musical Variety
Zürich Openair is famous for its attention to detail – and this shines through every year, especially in the line-up! In 2025, the festival takes place over two weekends, with a program that is sure to excite music lovers and festival fans alike. Let me take you through my personal highlights and give you an overview of the most exciting acts you can look forward to.
Weekend 1 (22 & 23 August 2025) – Pop, Electronic & Legendary Vibes
The opening weekend was all about international superstars. Halsey, Shawn Mendes, Tiësto, and Anyma kicked off the festival with unforgettable sets. I was especially looking forward to the electrifying live show by Empire of the Sun, who wowed the audience with their spectacular costumes and hits like “Walking on a Dream” – a true firework on stage.

There were also plenty of other exciting acts like Nina Chuba, Patent Ochsner (a Swiss cult band!), Portugal. The Man, SDP, Elderbrook, Duke Dumont, Hi-Lo, UFO361, and the unique Worakls Orchestra. What I especially loved was the diversity of genres – from indie to house to pop, everything was represented.
Pro tip: Check out the side stages – new talents like Benjamin Amaru, Cachita, and Dodo surprised everyone with fresh sounds and amazing live energy.
Weekend 2 (29 & 30 August 2025) – Urban Vibes, EDM & Pure Festival Euphoria
The second weekend brought even more musical diversity and international flair. The headliner list reads like a who’s-who of the music world: Post Malone, Apache 207, and The Prodigy were at the very top of my bucket list.

For EDM and dance fans, there was a true fireworks display of acts: Boris Brejcha, Claptone, James Hype, Becky Hill, Jelly Roll, Mall Grab, Mochakk, and many more kept the party going non-stop with the best dance vibes.

Local Heroes & Talents:
Swiss artists like EDB, Leila, Lou Kaena, Manillio, Tita Lau, Zian, and Zoë Më also impressed with unique performances and lots of heart. One thing I love: new talents are given a real platform – the perfect way to discover your next favorite act!

With the VIP ticket, I skipped the long lines and headed straight to the front row – a real luxury I can highly recommend to any festival fan!
The VIP Apéro with Miraval Rosé: Community, Views & Pure Enjoyment
One of my biggest highlights was the exclusive ZOA Social Community VIP Apéro on Saturday evening. In the stylish Miraval Rooftop Bar, with the perfect view over the festival grounds, we raised our glasses with hosts Alina Käser (Zürich Openair), Basil Karrer (Famille Perrin/Miraval SA), and Tina Seiler (Oppenheim & Partner).
On the rooftop, there wasn’t just sparkling Miraval Rosé, but also exciting conversations, networking with fellow festival fans, and the odd insider update about upcoming acts. The atmosphere was relaxed, open, and very welcoming – and the combination of sparkling rosé, chill rooftop views, and pulsating music was simply unbeatable.

Food Tip: Culinary Delights Meet Festival Spirit
Of course, no perfect festival day is complete without great food! Zürich Openair shines every year with a huge selection of street food stalls from all over the world. Whether you’re after classic Swiss dishes, Asian, Mediterranean, or vegan fare – everyone will find their soul food here. My favorite this year: freshly prepared momo’s – the perfect light energy boost between concerts. And for dessert? Sweet churros, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, dusted with extra cinnamon and chocolate. Don’t miss them!
