The next stop at Milan Design Week was dedicated to the “DEKTONCLAY” project.Tthe design team created a kitchen and dishes made of the raw material of Dekton.<\/p>\n

This project is the result of the collaboration between Cosentino and the Spanish ceramics studio and design studio, which was started three years ago and managed by Xavier Ma\u00f1osa.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Dektonclay has been\u00a0featured in the 15th edition of the Milan Design Week in # Room1 as part of the group exhibition Ladies and Gentlemen. This exhibition is co-produced by the non-profit organization 5VIE, whose aim is to promote the cultural and territorial development of the historic center of Milan.<\/p>\n

In the course of this new Dekton\u00ae project, Xavier Ma\u00f1osa examines the concept of cooking using a series of exhibits from the same material that combines cooking and eating. Inspired by the idea of \u200b\u200busing the same material in all areas of the kitchen, the designer presents a collection of crockery and kitchen utensils, furniture and even a stove. The cooking area, the worktops, the pots and handles were all modeled from Dekton\u00ae, pressed, drawn and fired, while the moldability of the material was tested by using various manual methods.<\/p>\n

This was a really very extraordinary and exciting project, to see the material Dekton in such contrasting forms and uses. Impressively how versatile Dekton presents itself. The kitchen is also functional as a gas kitchen.<\/p>\n
