The 11th edition of Mode Suisse, took place on Tuesday\u00a0showcasing a wealth of design talent. Ruling the\u00a0runway were \u00dcberflieger label Julia Seemann; Garnison\u2019s post-dandy menswear starring Louis Vuittonexclusive\u00a0Noah Brown and Zegna-boy Fallou Gueye; LYN Lingerie\u2019s luxury handmade collection soon also\u00a0available at Breuninger Germany; Julian Zigerli\u2019s second showing of womenswear and the gender fluid\u00a0menswear that he is known for; and Berlin-based experimentalist womenswear label studiowinkler.<\/p>\n

WUETHRICHFUERST made their much-anticipated debut.\u00a0HEAD \u2013 Gen\u00e8ve was, once again, a highlight of the evening showcasing Masters\u2019 students J\u00e9r\u00e9my Gaillard,\u00a0Flore Girard de Langlade and Vanessa Schindler – winner of the Prix d\u2019Excellence Hans Wilsdorf – who has\u00a0been selected for this year\u2019s Hy\u00e8res Festival. Mode Suisse habitu\u00e9, Adrian Reber, chose gold and up cycled\u00a0fur for the men next season; Iran-born LIDA NOBA presented her modern-feminine take on womenswear;\u00a0Zurich favourites, enSoie, had the audience craving its nonchalant style. Another eye catching moment was\u00a0Vivienne Rohner, now sporting cool short hair, who strutted the catwalk laid with previously unseen carpets\u00a0by Sch\u00f6nstaub; the show was closed with the desirable duvet coats and floaty dresses of special guest\u00a0designer Dorothee Vogel.<\/p>\n

A pre-show exclusive cocktail was attended by national and international fashion press and pros who\u00a0mingled with: MADE\u2019s fashion director Ruth Gruca, singers Michael von der Heide, Lea Lu and Laskaar,\u00a0Yvan Rodic aka Face Hunter, NJAL\u2019s Robert Cavell-Clarke, Sch\u00f6n!\u2019s Raoul Keil, Olympic champion Iouri\u00a0Podladtchikov, 032C\u2019s Miriam Leah-Hess, WWD\u2019s Melissa Drier, Migros\u2019 Hedy Graber and Mode Suisse\u00a0director Yannick Aellen.<\/p>\n

Edition 12 of Mode Suisse will take place in Zurich in September 2017. In the meantime, its pop-up store will\u00a0continue at enSoie, Strehlgasse 26, Zurich, until February 25th.<\/p>\n
