Some years ago I was already a huge fan of macram\u00e9, back then I mainly made necklaces with semi-precious stones. For some time now, I have wanted a matching macram\u00e9 wall hanging for my bedroom. So I decided to make it myself. By the way, this DIY is much easier than it looks. Although I had to start all over again. However, once you get the knot tying technique down pat, it’s super easy to do.<\/p>\n

What you need:<\/p>\n

1.) First cut the following cords:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
2.) Next, tie the 14 cords to the wooden stick using a reverse anchor knot.<\/p>\n

3.) Then take the first 4 cords and tie 1 cord \u00e0 127 cm and 3 flat knots.<\/p>\n
4.) Take the next 4 threads and tie 1 cord of 178 cm and 5 flat knots.<\/p>\n
5.) Take the next 4 threads and knot 1 cord \u00e0 178 cm and 6 flat knots.<\/p>\n
6.) We have reached the middle and take the 4 threads and a 203 cm cord and tie 7 flat knots.<\/p>\n

7.) Repeat step 5, 4 and 3. Until all knots are tied.<\/p>\n

8.) Now cut off the protruding threads on each side of the knots and sew them in the back or hide them with the darning needle.<\/p>\n
9.) Next, cut the cords so that they taper into an even triangle.<\/p>\n
10.) Now untwist the respective cords and, if necessary, untangle them further with the help of a comb.<\/p>\n
