Switzerland offers countless unique destinations, I spent a weekend on the Montreux Riviera and would like to share my personal highlights of this short trip with you today. On the road we were this time with public transport. The trip began with a scenic train ride from Lucerne to Vevey.<\/p>\n

In Vevey, we then moved into our weekend home near the train station. The Base Apartment Hotel in Vevey offers a modern ambience with additional services – besides a stylish apartment with kitchen, you can have breakfast brought over, for example. But the best part is the rooftop terrace with incredible views.<\/p>\n

Vevey is located on Lake Geneva and offers a wonderful view of the Alpine panorama. The mild climate and the unique vineyards, make Vevey the perfect vacation destination in Switzerland. In addition to the beautiful promenade, there are numerous museums to discover. Of course, these also make the perfect bad weather program.<\/p>\n

One of the exciting museums, which offers attractions for young and old, is the Alimentarium of N\u00e9stle. This includes the famous fork in the water. The Alimentarium is an interactive museum with international appeal. Here everything revolves around nutrition, knowledge offers and games provide information on the subject of nutrition. Other exciting museums in Vevey are for example the museum of Charlie Chaplin, which is located on his former estate.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Culinary Delights<\/span><\/h2>\n

Vevey and the surrounding area also have a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights. If you like first-class star cuisine, you should reserve a table at Z\u00e9 Fork right next to the Alimentarium. I can especially recommend the excellent steak. Chocolate fans should not miss the most delicious chocolate dessert I have ever had.<\/p>\n
