Eine persönliche Analyse der wichtigsten Highlights, Newcomer und Trends von Mode Suisse & Friends 2025 in Zürich – die Schweizer Fashion-Plattform als Schaufenster für Kreativität, Diversity und Zukunftsvisionen.

Year after year, the Swiss fashion scene proves its innovative strength and diversity. The Mode Suisse & Friends 2025 event, held on September 1st at the Kunsthaus Zürich, was once again an impressive showcase of this. Although I wasn’t able to attend in person this time, I’ve researched and summarized the most exciting highlights, key trends, and particularly inspiring newcomers for you. Mode Suisse has long since become an institution in Switzerland – a platform that brings creativity, craftsmanship, and that unique Swiss spirit to the world. This year, the Pfistersaal at Kunsthaus Zürich, normally reserved for art exhibitions, was transformed into a runway for 22 different labels and projects to present their latest collections. What made it even more special: 13 of these were absolute newcomers, making Mode Suisse a true hotspot for discoveries.

Sustainability & Positive Impact: Focus on studio remo

This year, studio remo made a particularly strong statement for sustainability and social impact. Designer Sophie Fellay impressed with a collection made entirely of locally produced natural fibers, putting sustainability at the very heart of her work. For this commitment, studio remo was awarded the prestigious Miele x Mode Suisse AWARD FOR POSITIVE IMPACT. If you’re interested in responsible fashion, this is a label you should definitely check out – find out more on Instagram or directly at Mode Suisse.

Label Diversity: Creative Minds and Inspiring Collections

Other highlights included exciting collections from both established and new Swiss labels. I was particularly impressed by the designs of anastasia bull, whose pleats and jewelry creations added a touch of opulence, and JILL BLOCH, who stood out with sculptural, flowing silhouettes. The collection by TRABELSI was inspired by the floral world of artist Baya Mahieddine and Tunisian women – a real showstopper full of expression and femininity. But other labels such as NINA YUUN, known for minimalistic yet sophisticated designs, amorphose with avant-garde couture, or DANZ with hand-felted fabrics, showed just how broad and creative the Swiss fashion scene is. For more about these labels, check out their websites like NINA YUUN or amorphose as well as Instagram for inspiration.

Inclusive Fashion & Supporting New Talent: ADAPT by SPF and Young Designers

For several years now, ADAPT by SPF has been a heartfelt project of Mode Suisse – an inclusive fashion initiative for wheelchair users created in collaboration with the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation. This year, specially designed barrier-free pieces were featured in five different collections – a strong sign for greater diversity and inclusion on the runway. Moreover, Mode Suisse is renowned for promoting young talent. Young designers from Basel, Geneva, and Zurich were able to present their visions, making the event a crucial springboard for fresh talents.

Showroom, Art & Community: Fashion Meets Inspiration

In addition to the two shows in the Pfistersaal, a vibrant showroom in the Kunsthaus foyer and adjacent auditorium allowed guests to experience many collections up close, discover new favorites, or connect directly with designers. The setting was complemented by pop-up bars, relaxed conversation spaces, and inspiring exhibitions. Among other things, a section of the exhibition “Susanne Bartsch – Transformation!” from the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich was on display, as well as photographs from the “Circular Heroes” project by Rafael Kouto in collaboration with TaDA and Mode Suisse – a wonderful example of how fashion, art, and social engagement come together in Switzerland.

Looking Ahead & Event Tips: Discover Zurich’s Fashion Highlights

What impressed me most about Mode Suisse & Friends 2025 was the sheer number of inspiring encounters and the diversity of events that will take place in Zurich in the coming weeks around the theme of fashion. I highly recommend a visit to the Zurich Design Weeks from September 4th to 14th, the Designer Days Privé, Edition 3, or the exhibition by the Textile and Design Alliance TaDA in Arbon – perfect opportunities for fashionistas and design lovers to experience the Swiss fashion scene up close and discover new talents.
